Accidental Fear or Valid reporting? Risk of New IBD Rises for Patients Treated With Etanercept

The Center for Biosimilars today published an article that concluded that there is a fearful risk of being diagnosed with IBD Crohn’s or Colitis for those currently being treated with Etanercept. Respectfully, I believe this study is incomplete and does not tell the full story. Though I don’t currently have access to the full study, just the Wiley Online Library Summary and the Center for Biosimilars article, until Lifestyle and Diet are factored into these studies I believe they do not tell the complete story.  20 years of clinical and cost outcomes from Integrative Medicine* have demonstrated the following results:

The Crohns Colitis Summit Changed My Life. Don’t give up the good fight! You are bringing so much healing to the world….

…that’s what Mia emailed me. After asking her to elaborate, this is what she said next: I have rheumatoid arthritis. I got diagnosed at the end of 2016, with a 4 months wait to see a rheumatologist, on state insurance because I wasn’t able to work from the pain and fatigue, and with Trump attacking the ACA I was terrorized over the idea of being dependent on the US medical system and then being denied coverage. I decided to seek further education in proactive healthcare I could rely on. I spent that time doing AIP to see if anything besides

Myth: You are one illness away from bankruptcy

Yesterday: “You are one illness away from bankruptcy” 😕 Today: “You are one ambulance ride away from bankruptcy” 😧😲 Only 23% of Americans are able to afford an unexpected medical bill that more than $2,000, yet out-of-pocket medical costs keep rising. That’s because the #1 reason for bankruptcy in America is medical bills ❌Not Job Loss ❌Not Divorce ❌Not Student Loans, Foreclosure or a Failed Business MEDICAL BILLS My last Ambulance🚑 Ride on March 26, 2017, cost me over $2,500 – for a six-mile ride from Sorrento Valley when I was living with Ipek, Craig, and Faith who were at work. I

There’s No Crying In Baseball

Stop being a wuss Man up You throw like a girl Doesn’t she look fat? She looks large and in charge. I think it’s time you get over it You would look so pretty if_____ You’re single? You must be so lonely! Quit whining What do these insensitive comments have to do with gut health? Everything Harvard Medical School reviewed 13 studies showing that patients who tried psychologically based approaches had greater improvement in their digestive symptoms compared with patients who received only conventional medical treatment. Words can affect your emotions which then impact your physical body. I was once

The Breakfast Of Champions

THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS “At the risk of sounding like a salesman, one product completely changed my life. I’d like to send you info on it if you’re open to receiving it. Bless you, on your path of a healer.” That was the DM I received when Juan slid into my DMs. The more I learned, the more I was impressed You see, Glyphosate, the most common being Roundup from Monsanto, is the most widely sold and used pesticide in the world. It’s used on food crops, in parks, gardens, along roads and railway tracks, and in cemeteries. Affording to

Google Is Burying Alternative Health Sites to Protect People from “Dangerous” Medical Advice

For their unorthodox views, some physicians are being treated as medical heretics. Google’s search engine algorithm has essentially ended traffic to their websites. In Ray Bradbury’s classic novel Fahrenheit 451, firemen don’t put out fires; they create fires to burn books. The totalitarians claim noble goals for book burning. They want to spare citizens unhappiness caused by having to sort through conflicting theories. Censorship Is Control The real aim of censorship, in Bradbury’s dystopia, is to control the population. Captain Beatty explains to the protagonist fireman Montag, “You can’t build a house without nails and wood. If you don’t want

What’s Love Got To Do With It?

I was eleven years old when Tina Turner released her album Private Dancer featuring the single What’s Love Got To Do With It that rose to #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2012 the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame, in addition to claiming a prize at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1985 for Best Female Video. Happiness Quiz

The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire was developed by psychologists Michael Argyle and Peter Hills at Oxford University. Take a few moments to take the survey. This is a good way to get a snapshot of your current level of happiness. You can even use your score to compare to your happiness level at some point in the future by taking the survey again. If you are using some of the interventions presented on this site to raise your happiness level, you can see whether your score on the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire goes up as a result. Instructions Below are a number
